The Vivid Metal Colors series from Green Stuff World takes metallic finishes to a whole new level, offering incredibly intense and saturated colors rarely seen in modeling. These unique shades deliver a striking metallic sheen and add a unique character to miniatures, models, and scenery.

These paints are formulated with the highest quality ultra-fine pearlescent pigments, providing an impressive metallic effect even on small or highly detailed surfaces. Excellent coverage combined with fast drying times allows for comfortable and efficient work.

The paints can be mixed and combined with other modeling products, such as varnishes, mediums, and effect additives. For best results, we recommend using gloss, satin, or Chrome Varnish. They also work well with Candy Ink and paints from the Interference and Metal Filters series.

When combined with Candy Ink inks, you can achieve exceptional color effects on metallic surfaces, crystals, gems, and light elements. Thanks to their high transparency, the inks act as color filters, allowing you to enhance or modify the shade of metal without losing detail. A thin layer of ink applied to a metallic surface allows you to achieve deep reds, greens, blues, and many other striking color variations.

The paints also work well with metallic filters, which create reflections that change depending on the angle of light. This allows for pearlescent or iridescent effects that lend surfaces a unique dynamic. This combination is perfect for creating imaginative armor, magical artifacts, futuristic machines, or striking decorative elements.

How to get the best results?

As with most metallic paints, a black base coat is recommended. A dark base accentuates the depth, contrast, and intensity of the metallic pigments, making the colors more vibrant, expressive, and striking.

When painting with a brush, it's best to apply 3 to 4 thin coats, gradually building up the color saturation. This allows for a smooth finish without losing detail. Allow each coat to dry before applying the next.

For airbrushing, it's recommended to slightly thin the paint and apply several thin layers instead of one thick one. For optimal results, the manufacturer recommends starting with a 1:1 ratio with acrylic thinner.

The paints are also perfect for drybrushing. Metallic pigments on a black base exceptionally highlight edges, textures, and raised details. This technique is excellent for painting armor, machines, weapons, terrain elements, and decorations.

The Vivid Metal Colors series is a water-based acrylic paint, completely non-toxic and suitable for both brush and airbrush use.
