Root RPG: Ruins and Expeditions

The darkest depths of the ruins await!

The ruins of the Woodland are places of danger, darkness, and treasure—the perfect place for a band of vagabonds to make a fortune undertaking quests no other denizen dare undertake. As the Hundreds terrorize the Woodlands and the Keepers in Iron search for relics, what might the vagabonds uncover in the places once forgotten? And who—if anyone—will pay them a fair price for what they find?

Ruins & Expeditions is a supplement for Root: The Roleplaying Game—the officially-licensed tabletop RPG based on the award-winning Root: A Game of Woodland Might and Right board game by Leder Games that expands the game with new playbooks, new factions, new rules for ruins and monsters, and more

Here’s what you’ll find inside this book:

• New rules for exploring the ruins of the Woodland, alongside expanded rules for the monsters, relics, and dangers found inside such lost places.
• Six new playbooks, expanding the types of vagabonds you can play to include monster hunters, traveling nomads, entrepreneurs, and more.
• Two new expansion factions—The Hundreds and The Keepers in Iron—each with mechanics for including them in the expanded faction turn.
• Dozens of additional moves and tags, including weapons skills, roguish feats, natures, drives, connections, equipment tags, and pre-made gear.
• Three new clearings—Longbarrow Crag, Pricklegrass Marsh, and Ricklebell Falls—that focus on adventures involving ruins, relics, and monsters.
