PLAYMARKERS is a unique acrylic paint formula that provides excellent adhesion to plastic, resin, metal and wood. The paint is resistant to touch, water and heat. It can be layered like any other model paint and mixed to achieve a wide range of effects and colour transitions. It has high coverage and allows for further weathering without the risk of removing the paint. Ideal for clean, convenient and precise painting.

The finish of the markers is matte, but some colours, due to the pigments, may be slightly satin. Regardless of the preferred effect - matte, satin or gloss - the markers can be covered with any varnish without the risk of damaging the paint.

PAINT

The most important aspect of Playmarkers markers is their paint. Its development was the most time-consuming stage of production – we worked on it until we achieved the perfect effect. Creating a paint that would be durable, well-covering and would meet the expectations of modelers in terms of finish was a real challenge. Various formulas met some of the requirements, but only our final formula meets them 100%. High coverage was achieved thanks to the high concentration of pigments. We also ensured great resistance to modeling products – the paint does not smudge or reactivate, as is the case with other markers. The finish is semi-matte, but some colors may be slightly satin due to the pigments. In case of preferences for very matt or glossy finishes, the paint can be covered with any varnish.

TECHNIQUE

Playmarkers can be applied directly with a brush tip – this is the recommended method for beginners. Although it is recommended to apply a base coat, the paint has high adhesion and two coats are enough. To obtain intense colours (reds, yellows, oranges), it is worth applying a white base first. Advanced users can mix the inks directly on the tip or on the palette and soak the tip with it, which allows to obtain tonal transitions. The tips are cleaned in water – like a regular brush. You can also press the button on the back to extract a few drops of paint and paint with a traditional brush.

HOW TO USE

The marker tips are pressure sensitive, allowing you to control the thickness of your line – ideal for calligraphy and detail painting. Before you start, remove the cap and press the button, which releases the paint and saturates the tip. This is useful for mixing colours or if the tip has dried out – it ensures a smooth flow of paint.

MAINTENANCE

After each use, it is worth closing the markers carefully to prevent the ink from drying out. The tips should be gently cleaned with water and excess paint removed with a tissue. For the care of the tips, we recommend AKB 150 Synthetic Brush Conditioning Fluid, which keeps them in perfect condition.
