Deep Shade Acrylic Modeling Wash is designed for shading and highlighting details on small models and figurines. Its formula allows for a matte finish while maintaining deep, natural tones, facilitating the realistic accentuation of recesses and surface textures.

Properties and applications

• The wash contains micro-dispersed pigments with a diameter of less than one micron, suspended in pure acrylic resin, which allows for uniform distribution of the dye and subtle contrast enhancement
• Optimal viscosity allows the pigment to be retained in the details and bends of the models, especially in vertical and hard-to-reach places
• The product adheres perfectly to the model surface and is abrasion-resistant after drying.
• The formula prevents the formation of air bubbles during application, which guarantees even coverage.
• Once dry, the wash becomes permanent and is not reactive to water or acrylic media, which allows for further modeling work without the risk of blurring the effect.

Application technique

Application should be done dry, avoiding wetting the surface to prolong drying time. It is recommended to apply two thin layers to deepen the shading effect. If greater transparency or contrast is desired, a dedicated acrylic medium, such as AK13010, can be used.

Compatibility

Acrylic wash is compatible with most acrylic paints and other modeling media. It can be effectively applied to surfaces previously coated with acrylic paints.
