Whistle Mountain

Whistle Stop designer Scott Caputo has teamed up with Luke Laurie (Manhattan Project: Energy Empire) to create a new worker placement strategy. Whistle Mountain alludes to Whistle Stop, but in this standalone game you leave the railroads behind and head skyward with airships, battleships and hot air balloons!

At Whistle Mountain, you can make huge profits for your business from all over this railroad and invest them in new technologies, deep in the Rocky Mountains, where there are tons of resources. Your workers build scaffolding and machinery systems, improving your skills and gathering resources. As you build with your airship fleet, the melting snow in the mountains causes the water below to rise higher and higher, putting workers in danger and adding tension to the dynamically changing board.

Since the resources you accumulate depend on what the players build, each game develops differently, resulting in great replayability. You have to choose between getting new skills and upgrades for your airships and workers, or building all kinds of equipment as fast as possible to win over Whistle Mountain.
