This War of Mine: Czas Oblężenia

By assigning too much importance to beautiful deeds, you are paying tribute indirectly to evil. For it can be assumed then that beautiful deeds have such a high price because they are rare, while wickedness and indifference are much more often the driving force of human activities.

- Albert Camus, The Plague

It seems that this terrible siege has turned into a gray everyday life for us. As we cannot rely on outside help, we focus solely on surviving the next day. In this struggle, we often forget that there are people more vulnerable to harm than we are. We forget that, after all, there are children who have lost their mothers and fathers next to us, and it is up to us to guarantee them a chance for the future. Any future. The question is - how much will it cost us?

As time goes on, long-standing disputes and inborn distrust are felt among the inhabitants. Worse, there are people who are ready to take advantage of the hatred that only neighbors who have known for many years can feel towards each other. Recently, the number of Graznian soldiers in the city has increased noticeably, and rumors about Vyseni fighters infiltrating the city are heard almost daily in the streets. Given how depleted resources are in Pogoren, we are beginning to seriously consider whether we will survive another escalation of violence.
