"Raverun" is a card game for 2 or 3 players, aged 8 and up. The ruler of the titular kingdom of Raverun left the earthly realm. He left behind three sons. Each of them was thirsty for absolute power. Thus began the war for succession. Take on the role of one of the three descendants of the king, hire powerful Trolls, Goblins or Dwarves and destroy your enemies!
Rules and objective of the game:
The goal of the players is to hire new mercenaries. All in order to gain an advantage over their opponents.
Before the game begins, all cards should be thoroughly shuffled. Then, seven cards are dealt to each player (six in a three-player game). The remaining cards are placed in the middle of the table. These will form the mercenary deck. Each player's playing area is divided into the battlefield, the mercenary pile, and the cards in their hand.
The game lasts several rounds. Each round consists of three successive phases:
1. Playing Cards – The order in which cards are played is determined by the player who has the highest value card on top of their stack. Players place one card face up in front of them, creating their battlefields. A player may have more than one card on their battlefield.
2. Skirmish - The skirmish is won by the player who played the highest value card onto their battlefield. That card remains face up on the battlefield of the player who played it. The remaining cards go face up on top of their owners' piles.
3. Performing actions shown on cards – Players can perform actions assigned to the green cards on top of their stacks.
The person who, at the end of the game, can boast the strongest mercenary on top of their stack will be declared the winner.
