Next War: Taiwan (2nd edition)

In Next War: Taiwan 2nd Edition, every decision counts: will you hold the line as the Taiwanese commander, or will you be the strategist behind the Chinese assault? The 2nd edition offers a modernized, more accurate, and ever-immersive experience.

More than ten years after the first edition, Next War: Taiwan 2nd Edition returns in an enhanced 2nd edition. This version incorporates all known errata and updates the order of battle to reflect changes in forces since 2014.

Players simulate a future conflict around the island of Taiwan, where the People's Republic of China attempts to bring the secessionist republic back into its sphere, while Taiwanese forces and their allies defend themselves.

Game System

The 2nd edition retains the proven system of Next War: Korea, with adjustments for the Taiwanese theater:

• Ground Combat: units representing brigades, regiments, and battalions, evaluated according to their strength, mobility, and effectiveness
• Aviation: fighter, bomber, and attack squadrons, with air combat, close support, and strike capabilities
• Naval: maritime control mechanisms, submarines, mine warfare, anti-ship strikes, and amphibious groups. A new naval aid facilitates the management of movements and combat at sea

Players can choose between Standard scenarios for quick games or the Advanced Game for more detailed control of air, naval, and special forces. The 2nd edition also allows this game to be combined with Next War: Korea for an extended campaign.
