Maestro (International Edition)

In the vibrant Italian city-states of the early 16th century, art was not only an expression of beauty but also a symbol of power. Artistic workshops fiercely competed for prestige, fueled by the ambition of great masters like Leonardo da Vinci and Michelangelo Buonarroti. Artists created impressive works, from monumental frescoes to marble sculptures, each a manifestation of their craftsmanship and vision.

Artworks found their way to courts and palaces, traveling throughout the Italian Peninsula, where they captivated both aristocrats and commoners. Talent alone, however, was not enough; the key to success lay in winning the favor of influential patrons. Workshops courted their attention, leveraging reputation, charisma, and spectacular presentations to attract them to their galleries and secure their long-term support.

In Maestro, the workshops of Michelangelo and Leonardo da Vinci compete for fame and aristocratic recognition in courts and galleries across the region. Each workshop can be run by a single player or a team.

During the game, players take turns taking actions: creating works of art, exhibiting them in various parts of the Italian Peninsula, influencing the tastes of collectors, and vying for prominence among the elite. After four rounds, the workshop that scores the most points wins and goes down in history as the most influential Renaissance artist.
