"In collaboration with top artists, we have created this new line that represents the history, painting style and pictorial philosophy of these wonderful characters, combining their talent with the power of our pigments."
Signature set - Non Metallic Metal consists of 6 paints selected by Michał Pisarski and instructions written by him.
Kimera Kolors are acrylic paints with a high pigment content of 30% to 50%, characterized by a creamy consistency and a matte finish.
Each color contains only one, pure, top-quality pigment, unmixed with other pigments or white. This ensures vibrant colors that won't turn gray when mixed with others.
Some colors are more transparent than others. For example, magenta, orange, cool and warm yellows, and phthalo are more transparent but very strong and saturated. To increase opacity, you can add a little white or black to the mix without fear of oversaturated colors. A very high pigment content will make your color very strong and opaque. If you use the glazing technique, you can dilute them much more than you're used to.
The paints are matte, but you can use a satin medium to achieve a different finish. The medium in the set is the same one used to create the colors in the set and will not change their hue or saturation after addition. This helps achieve better tones on skin or other satin materials and facilitates blending. The creamy consistency allows for better adhesion to the brush and smoother transitions when wet-blending directly onto the figurine.
Each dropper container contains 30ml of color (double or even triple the amount you usually have with other brands), a stainless steel mixing ball already inside, and has a screw cap designed to prevent the colors from clogging and drying out.
We also know how important it is for a painter to use different brands of colors for different reasons. We encourage you to do so! Simply try adding Kimera Colors to the mix to make them stronger.
