Not long after the Mad King was thrown from his throne during Robert's Rebellion, the two orphaned Targaryen were forced to flee to Essos. Now Robert is dead and the lords and ladies of Westeros are fighting for power.
The time has come for the Targaryen to take back what belongs to them by all means available. And these will not be missing when Daenerys leads not only armies, but also three mighty dragons.
The Game of Thrones world is expanding to a new continent. The Free Cities of Essos are depicted in the new map section that connects to the original board.
Game of Thrones: Mother of Dragons expansion expands warfare to Braavos, Volantis and Pentos, which is the starting city of the Targaryen, among others.

House Targaryen do not need more fortresses to win, which turn so easily to ruin when dragons rush into battle. Instead, to sit on the Iron Throne, Daenerys must gain support in seven territories - only then will she be able to seize power and win the game.
How can this be done? It's not hard to convince new lords with three dragons behind you. Each of them is a completely new type of unit. They are extremely mobile and grow in strength as the game progresses. Dragons are very rare creatures and cannot be mobilized like regular units.
Instead, they're in the game right from the start. However, their uniqueness is also their greatest weakness. If the dragon is killed for any reason, it is permanently removed from the game.
Each dragon is a single land unit that must follow the rules for resupply. Dragons can participate in battles as attackers, defenders, or supports according to the normal rules. Dragons grow in strength over time - at the beginning they are zero, but by the end of the battle for the Iron Throne they are already powerful beasts with a strength of five.
Game of Thrones: Mother of Dragons introduces to the game not only the ever-growing Targaryen, but also the Arryn family. With the Eagle's Nest map overlay and new character cards, you will be able to use the new house in your battles for the Iron Throne and increase the number of players simultaneously playing the game to eight.

Thanks to the Mother of Dragons, you will not only play with more people, but also improve the balance of games for a smaller number of players thanks to the vassal system, which introduces neutral houses to the game. Each player will have the opportunity to get a vassal and use his power in the fight for the throne, but nothing can be certain - no vassal is infinitely loyal when a better offer comes up ...
The players with the highest positions on the Iron Track track may choose one vassal to take control of until the beginning of the next Planning Phase and become its master. Players may assign order tokens to their vassals, but must be careful how they manage their units and remember that the balance of power may change in the next turn.
