A vision of a dystopian future, where electronics and gigabytes of software are daily bread for the average person, and moreover, often a part of himself.
Corporations control the world from fortified skyscrapers, enforcing orders with an army of assassins - cyborgs. On Boostergang Street, they roam the dilapidated city wilderness, killing and looting. The rest of the world is an eternal party, models with beautiful implants flirt with warriors in nightclubs, seedy bars and the ugliest streets on this side of the Postholocaust. The future never looked so bad.
But you can change it. You have interface plugs in your wrists, weapons in your arms, lasers in your eyes, bio-chip programs screaming in your brain. You're online, cyber overcharged, you can go through Edge where only the toughest and coolest can go. Because you are CYBERPUNK.
Cyberpunk Red is a continuation of Cyberpank 2020, set in a dark future (although from the point of view of the writer, it is rather an alternative reality). It presents a world of corporate killers, heavy metal heroes and cyberhackers with burning brains, a world full of cutting-edge technology and intense city action.
The rules have been slightly modified compared to the previous version, but at the moment it is assumed that the source ruless for Cyberpunk 2020 can also be used when playing in the Cyberpunk Red system.
