Coup

In the distant future, where governments function only for their own gain, all but a few live in poverty and desperation. Out of the embattled people emerges the Resistance Movement, which starts a revolution and throws the authorities into total chaos. To seize power, you must destroy your rivals' influence and banish them. Only one can survive!

Coup is a game of bluff and cheating set in the distant future, a game for 2-6 people with 15 minutes play time.

Each player starts the game with two character cards and two coins. The deck contains 15 cards, 3 copies of different characters, each with unique abilities: Duke, Assassin, Contessa, Captain, Ambassador. On his turn, a player may perform one character action (regardless of whether he has it in his hand or not) or one of the 3 actions: take 1 coin, take 2 coins, pay 7 coins to remove one character card from his opponent. Be careful when performing character actions, another player may check you out! The player with the cards in hand at the end of the game wins - the winner!
