REAL COLORS model paints in the form of handy markers were produced by AK-INTERACTIVE. These are high-quality acrylic paints designed specifically for modelers.
REAL COLORS paints were developed after very thorough color analysis. Thanks to them, it is possible to obtain exceptionally durable and properly reproduced historical colors.
Special formula for painting. Characterized by excellent adhesion to plastic, resin, metal and wooden surfaces. Resistant to water and high temperatures. Can be applied in layers, like any other model paint. High coverage. Does not smudge. Allows for later weathering effects using any products, without fear of removing the paint. Ideal for applying base layers and for painting in a clean, convenient and precise way.
Note! The finish of the markers is matte, but some shades, due to the nature of the pigments, may have a slightly satin finish. Regardless of the preferred finish, whether matte, satin or gloss, the markers can be covered with any type of varnish without fear of damaging the paint.
RCM1027 is the Sandgelb colour used on German aircraft camouflage during World War II in the tropical scheme. Although the beginnings, as with ground equipment, lacked colours adapted to the surroundings, a tropical scheme was designed quite quickly. On 18 April 1941, the document listed three new colours: RLM 78 Blau (blue), RLM 79 Sandgelb (sand yellow) and RLM 80 grün (green). In November 1941, the shade of RLM 78 was changed to a lighter blue, while RLM 79 was modified to a darker one. RLM 80 remained unchanged. Interestingly, after the withdrawal from North Africa, the tropical colours were still used on aircraft operating over Italy and other Mediterranean countries until the end of the war. And several aircraft in desert colours were sent to the Eastern Front where they were operated until at least the end of 1941.
